  1. Yes Self-defense is very essential for school children and the College youth also. They should be trained to be smart and outspoken & stop behaving like dumb slaves. Strict discipline in educational institutions have made the new generation of students very dull, serious & submissive rather than cheerfully active & dynamic. The attitude “Just do – don’t question “why?” is creating a nation full of ‘Yes Men’ rather than awakened intellectuals who question “why?” Training in Self-defense increases student’s confidence by awakening him/her to behave more smarty and communicate with authority. Offensive Techniques come later. If one can talk logically and tackle hooligans, then the requirement of using unnecessary violence isn’t required. Matters can be resolved via verbal talks alone. Offensive techniques can be used only as a last resort if necessary in the real sense.
